Breckenridge, Colorado, is such a fun and unique place for a bachelorette party in the mountains. Whether your group is looking for spa days, cocktails in town, outdoor adventures, or a cozy weekend in a mountain cabin, there’s something here for just about everyone.
I’ve called Breckenridge home for years, and these are my personal recommendations for the places I’d recommend to friends planning a girls’ weekend here.
Fun Things to Do for a Bachelorette Party in Breckenridge
Summer Activities
- Concert at Dillon Amphitheatre – Arguably one of the best concert venues. Check out the summer concert schedule and try to plan a concert during your bachelorette trip!
- White water rafting – if you’re looking for a little thrill, white water rafting is such a fun Colorado activity. A day trip in surrounding towns like Buena Vista is perfect for rafting.
- Spend a day on Lake Dillon – Lake Dillon is one of my favorite ways to spend a day! A kayak tour is perfect for doing something active, but if you want to get boozy, they have pontoon rentals. Be sure to check out the tiki bar at the Frisco or Dillon Marina.
- Hike the Burro Trail – If your group wants to get outside without driving far, this trail starts just outside downtown and is one of my favorite hikes close to town.
Winter Activities
- Theatre dinner & sleigh ride – at Golden Horseshoe is such a fun and memorable activity to do with a group of friends.
- Dog sledding – at GoodTimes in Breckenridge
- Snowmobiling – GoodTimes near Breckenridge, but Leadville is one of my favorite places to ride with incredible mountain views
- Go Ice Skating – on Keystone Pond or on Peak 8
If you’re visiting during ski season, here are even more fun winter activities in Breckenridge.
Best Spas in Breckenridge
- Infinity Spa at Grand 8 – Massages, facials, mani/pedis with an indoor hot tub, steam room, sauna, and cold plunge. *Bonus tip: if you stay there, you get access to their outdoor hot tubs, which are my personal favorite.
- Blue Sage Spa – right on Main Street – massages, facials, body treatments, and oxygen bar.
- Kindred Spa – if you want to explore the Keystone area, check out the new Kindred Spa
Unique Activities for Groups
- Guided fly fishing trip – with Breckenridge Outfitters
- Wine tasting – Breckenridge has a few spots on Main Street for wine tasting. Continental Divide Winery, Carboy Winery, and Ridge Street Wine are my favorites.
- Bike & distillery tour – Ridden (a bike shop in Breck) has a Fat Tire beer & distillery tour that you can even do in the winter!
- Ready Paint Fire – a fun place for painting pottery
- Ghost tour downtown – for a little ghost and local mining history
- Visit Country Boy Mine – An old mine that offers mining tours, gold panning, and extreme sledding
- Hot springs – Breckenridge doesn’t have any hot springs, but Strawberry Hot Springs and Mount Princeton Hot Springs are about 1.5 hours away and such a fun way to spend the day!
- Horseback Ride – with Red Valley Rebels in Fairplay
- Visit Isak Heartstone (the Breckenridge Troll) – It’s a fun free activity and walkable (or bus) from downtown.

Breckenridge nightlife & fun bars for a Bachelorette Party
I’ve listed some of my favorite places for a night out on the town, and in the order that you should go if you’re bar hopping! Breckenridge isn’t much of a club town, but it’s perfect for bar hopping since almost everything is within walking distance of Main Street.
- RMU – RMU is a fun and casual spot with amazing cocktails and beer. You could easily spend all day here, whether you’re looking for a day drinking bar or night time bar! They often have live music.
- The Chalet – A new cocktail bar in Breckenridge, perfect for after-dinner drinks.
- Motherloaded Tavern – A fun, casual bar to go to after their dinner service ends. They usually have fun events that bring lively crowds like live music, trivia, and karaoke.
- Gold Pan – A fun bar for dancing! It’s one of the most popular spots to go out dancing, usually after 10 PM.
- Napper Tandy’s – Another fun bar to add to your bar-hopping night! They usually have dancing or live music.
- Cecilia’s – Breckenridge only ‘club’ complete with a stripper pole! This is the spot that you usually go to late night (best around midnight) – be sure to pair this with Reds for a late night snack before heading home.

How to get around Breckenridge with a group
Parking downtown fills quickly on weekends, so if you’re staying near Main Street, it’s often easier to walk or use the free bus.
- Free bus system – The Town of Breckenridge and Summit County have an amazing free bus system to get you around! You can likely take it into town, but if you’re staying out late, you might need to find a ride back!
- Ubers – Ubers are in Breckenridge, but not always super reliable. If you’re looking for a late-night Uber, you may have to wait a bit.
- Walking – Walking is your best bet if you’re staying close to Main Street!
- Rent a car – If you’re planning on exploring more, renting a car (or van) is another option (if you have a DD!)
- Airport shuttles – If you’re coming from Denver Airport and don’t want to worry about driving, taking a shuttle is super easy (Epic Mountain Express or Summit Express)
- Private shuttle – There are many private shuttles in Breckenridge with drivers

When to plan your bachelorette party in Breckenridge
- Summer (June–August): Amazing weather, hiking, wildflowers, and outdoor happy hours.
- Fall (September–Early October): Similar to summer, but a little cooler and perfect for leaf peeping.
- Winter (Late November–March): Breck turns into a bustling ski town around Thanksgiving, and the ski resorts are open until April.
- Spring (April–May): ‘Mud season’/off season – Mud season is the off-season, so expect more things to be closed, like restaurants, trails, or other businesses. Quieter in town and usually a little cheaper because of mixed weather.
