Breckenridge has no shortage of restaurants, but there are a few that we always go back to for date nights, anniversaries, and different celebrations. If you’re planning a trip and wondering what not to miss, these are the places at the top of my list.
Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time when possible! Weekends and holidays especially can be pretty busy in Breckenridge!
Rootstalk
I’ll start with my favorite restaurant in Breckenridge, where we love to go for any special occasion! Everything on the menu is so creative and delicious, regardless of what you order.
Breckenridge Distillery
Breckenridge Distillery is another one of my favorites! I love the atmosphere with an upscale, urban, mountain modern design with some of the best cocktails and meals! They explain their menu as a ‘contemporary steakhouse,’ which I think sums it up perfectly.
Aurum
Aurum is the perfect date night out with amazing food and a cozy, elevated feel. Their dinner menu is always incredible, and they have one of the best happy hours!
Blue River Bistro
Blue River Bistro is a Breckenridge staple and well known for their amazing happy hour with the best cocktails and apps.
Their dinner menu is equally amazing, with fresh ingredients and incredible food.
Briar Rose
Briar Rose Chophouse and Saloon is a historic steakhouse in the heart of Breckenridge with great wine and amazing food.
Radicato
Radicato is the Italian version of Rootstalk, which is their sister restaurant. The pasta dishes are incredible with fresh, homemade pasta. That said, Rootstalk still holds the top spot for me.
Hearthstone
This is one of Breck’s most iconic restaurants, in a big, historic Victorian home with gorgeous views of Breck.
Other Breckenridge favorite places to eat
Mimi & Pin – cute and quick stop for a coffee or sweet treat
Carboy Winery – amazing charcuterie and wine
Castaways – if you’re vibe is more poke bowls and fish bowls
RMU – fun and lively bar for a beer or amazing cocktails
Downstairs at Eric’s – for arcade games and pizza
The Crown – Coffee (or a cocktail) and food anytime of the day

My photography journey started in 2009 when I fell in love with documenting moments and capturing people in their element.
12 years ago, I moved to the amazing little mountain town of Breckenridge, Colorado, from Raleigh, North Carolina.
Wild to say I've photographed over 300 weddings and portrait sessions all over. I started this small but mighty team of local mountain photographers to capture whatever season of life you're in.
