Looking for the perfect adventurous wedding gift for couples who love the outdoors, camping, and traveling? If they prefer hiking and heading out for an adventure VS fancy dinnerware, these gifts are for them.
As an outdoor enthusiast and a wedding photographer in the mountains of Colorado, these are some of my favorite things we use for camping or adventures. There’s nothing better than exploring with your partner AND being comfortable in the process.
I’ve seen many traditional wedding gifts collect dust, so I created this gift guide with useful and unique gift ideas for nature-loving couples who’d rather be outdoors. These are perfect for wedding gifts, an engagement gift, or even a housewarming gift.
๐๏ธ Cozy camp setup: A Pendleton blanket + 2-person chair
Best for: For car camping or van life couples
A Pendleton wool blanket would make for the perfect wedding gift that will last a lifetime! Pair that with a 2-person camping chair and you’ve got the perfect campfire date night setup.
Best for: couples who love to travel and road trips
A super versatile gift that any couple would love whether they’re going on an epic honeymoon abroad or planning a fun road trip.
๐ณ Hammocks for two
Best for: outdoorsy couples who love relaxing in nature
An eno hammock is my favorite thing to bring anywhere! Whether I’m camping or staying at a rental house, it’s lightweight and easy to travel with. All I need is two trees to set it up.
The Eno Doublenest can fit up to two people, but I still recommend you each have your own for optimal comfort. That’s relationship 101.
Perfect for: for a fun date night at home or camping
Outdoor pizza ovens have become the latest rage. This would be such a fun gift for couples to bring camping or just to hang outside for a fun date night at home.
Perfect for: camping couples who have to deal with fire bans
If you’re looking for a gift for couples who love camping, a propane fire pit is a great choice! I feel like every time I go camping, there’s a fire ban in Colorado. A propane fire pit with an on-and-off switch is becoming a must-have, and I can see why.
If fires aren’t a problem in your area, a solo stove is a great traditional option! It’s portable and makes it easy to get a fire started anywhere.
Best for: Couples that love to ski, road trip, or off-grid adventures
Walkie-talkies are such an underrated wedding gift that you wouldn’t think about, but so useful (and fun) when you don’t have cell service. These are under $50.
A cup of coffee while camping is your morning coffee like no other. This Stanley French Press is perfect for camping. Pair that with a fire pit or your propane stove, and you can pretty much honeymoon in your backyard.
If you’re looking for an adventurous gift for couples, a blowup kayak or stand-up paddle board would be a fun place to start! You can either go with two single kayaks or go with a tandem. That will really test the relationship!
Best for: Couples who love to hike in the backcountry
Do you want a little peace of mind for their safety when they’re out of cell service? A GPS would be a great gift for hiking couples, or something like an All Trails Pro subscription for offline maps on their phone.
Best for: couples who want to travel around in an RV
If they love road trips, camping, and national parks, an RV rental gift card might be a dream gift. Outdoorsy.com is like the Airbnb of camper vans and RVs.
Perfect for: Couples to display their adventures at home
As a photographer, there’s something so special about being able to display your own photography or photos with your favorite people. The Aura Digital Picture Frame has been a hit in 2025 for gifting pretty much anyone in your life. You can send photos right from your phone to the frame.
We recently added a Coleman propane stove to our car camping gear and paired it with a cast iron griddle which fits perfectly on top. Honestly, this setup has made it so much easier to cook delicious meals when we’re camping!
My photography journey started in 2009 when I fell in love with documenting moments and capturing people in their element.
12 years ago, I moved to the amazing little mountain town of Breckenridge, Colorado, from Raleigh, North Carolina.
Wild to say I've photographed over 300 weddings and portrait sessions all over. I started this small but mighty team of local mountain photographers to capture whatever season of life you're in.
